Coordinate Algebra Information
This is the first course in the Georgia High School Mathematics sequence. With an integrated curriculum, Coordinate Algebra will focus on mastery of these primary domains: Number and Quantity, Functions, Algebra, Modeling, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability. Coordinate Algebra is taught by multiple teachers but we teach the same material on the same day and give the same tests.

BHS Math Department Grading Percentages:
20% Classwork/Homework/Quizzes
40% Unit Tests
30% Benchmark Tests: BM1 = 100 pts (3.3% of final average)
BM2 = 200 pts (6.7% of final average)
BM3 = 600 pts (20% of final average)
10% Writing Prompts: 5% will be the Performance Exam. The remaining 5% will consists
of 5 different writing problems that will count 1% each--these will
generally be given the day before or the day after tests.
